| "The new student and master alike must seek to maintain the beginner's mind. Each new person and every experience provides an opportunity to learn. Thus we may all be taught by each other and share our knowledge freely."
Grandmaster Tak Wah Eng |
Our world-class instructors train directly with Grandmaster Tak Wah Eng |
effective martial arts programs for a combined total of over 50 years. Master Brian Hanson (left) develops our Kempo Karate program and ensures the highest standards are expected of and met by our students. Grandmaster Tak Wah Eng (center) provides our Kung Fu curriculum and trains our instructors in the authentic Shoalin art. Bill Hackett (right) implements the Kempo Karate and Shoalin Kung Fu programs at the Center, ensuring that each and every student receives the very best instruction.
All of our instructors are required to continue their training with masters in at least one martial art discipline and to work closely with Bill to keep our programs consistent, well-rounded, and up-to-date for our students. Our assistant instructors are highly-motivated adult kempo students who have reached the rank of shodan (first degree black belt) or higher and who continue to actively train in the martial arts, often in more than one discipline.
Our junior assistant training program presents outstanding leadership opportunities for students interested in sharing their talents and becoming role models as they master their arts. For more information, call the studio at (203) 544-6055.
