Kempo Karate students who are eligible for their next belt rank are referred by our Chief Instructor, Bill Hackett, for testing with 8th degree Kempo Karate Master Brian Hanson. Belt tests for the ranks of yellow through blue stripe are conducted for all students, at Georgetown Martial Arts Center once every two months, usually on the first Wednesday of the month (See testing schedule below for a list of test dates for 2003). Youth students are also tested in Georgetown for advanced ranks (green belt through 3rd degree brown).
Advanced belt tests for our adult and junior adult students are conducted at our sister school in Cheshire, CT (directions to Cheshire) once every two months. Tests for the ranks of Junior Black Belt, Shodan, and advanced degrees of Black Belt, are also conducted at our sister school in Cheshire, two to three times per year.
